Sundae :: Benn Hopkins + Jason Rouse

We have some great friends at Sundae, who help us do what we do, keep us in line and bring the good times each time they appear. This week’s guests, Benn Hopkins and Jason Rouse are both experienced DJs ready for any club, and great supporters of our party that over the years that we have turned to time and again for their dedication, enthusiasm and exquisite record collections.

In Brisbane town, Benn and Jason have hit one spot after another, between them covering every worthwhile dancefloor. Family, The Met, Barsoma, Zuri, Laruche, Alhambra, GPO, you get the picture, between the two of them, Brisbane has received a healthy dose of deep, soulful, bumping, funky, proper house for over a decade. Individually, Jason and Benn are both class DJs in their own right, but as close friends, they share musical inspiration, and push each other further with a deep commitment to providing quality party experiences to Brisbaneites.

It is not just on our shores either, both of them proudly represented us at the original Sundae party in Philadelphia, and at the renowned Miami conference, both impressing the Americans and developing a little black book that has seen them play alongside Robert Owens, King Britt, Charles Spencer, Derrick Carter, Andy Caldwell, Jay J and more once back on their home turf.

Join us this week as we welcome our close friends back to the decks to share the fruits of individual dedication to the cause, and a special musical friendship built on a shared appreciation of quality house music. The last days of winter are upon us and we are enjoying the good company, great cocktails and the warm glow of a pleasant afternoon spent hanging out with friends. We’ll see you by the riverside.
