Sundae :: Scott Walker

One of the hardest working DJs in Brisbane, Scott Walker is a club specialist. and one of the most reliable party players in the city. Each set is a skilled display of dancefloor mechanics, rolling through vintage to modern sounds to bring about entangled throes of barely behaved dancers. From the Uncle or Mainroom at Family, Therapy and Subtrakt, to the intimate surrounds of Ahlambra, Moonbar or Sundae, and specialist roles at many of the city’s quality underground nights Scott is simply in touch with how club’s should work. He should know: as his highly respected night Drop approaches passes it’s seventh birthday, it becomes evident that the dude has some skills in this department.

His adaptability is regarded too, regularly taking his one man club heaving show on the road, with appearances around the country and now dipping his toe in the Asian club circuit; always sure to return home in time for the festival season, where he is called upon by everyone from Big Day Out, Global Gathering, and Gatecrasher to Summafieldayze, Global Underground, and Slinky.It would be ridiculous of us to list all of Scott’s high profile supports, the list runs over several pages. So let us summarize: Scott does the big jobs and does them right. Some of the biggest names in dance music have all stepped into a club expertly simmered by Mr Walker.

What more can we say? It is a real treat to have Scott back at the controls, his last visit to Sundae was our Summer Vinyl Throwdown, a great day by all accounts. This time around Scott has free reign on the proceedings of the afternoon, and no doubt will have a bag of super sweet audio confectionery to please everyone’s tastes. See you in the sunshine..
