Therapy can often get a bit intense, with the busyness in the club of recent weeks, and the temperature warming up quickly, this week we settle ourselves with some deep and soulful vibes to set the scene for a laidback and classy evening on the floor.

Coming to us from Sydney, where the Globe, Tank, Home, Yu, and Chinese Laundry have all felt the soulful style of one of Australia’s most passionate house producers, Yogi delivers a joyful abandon behind the decks that is the product of decades of dedicated musical upbringing. With a skill set crossing all disciplines, Yogi is a dab hand in all areas of the studio lending his skills to the faders, mics, decks and knobs with equal attention.
In the club, Yogi’s inspired sets and appropriate vocals have seen him set rooms up for Erick Morillo, Roger Sanchez, Mousse T, Kaskade, Swirl People and Lawnchair Generals, whilst as a headliner, either in solo mode, or with Randomsoul partner in crime DJ Husky have seen him become a firm party favourite around the country.
In the studio though is where he gets down best, and has worked alongside some of the world’s finest producers to tweak out house heads across the planet through collaborations with JayJ, Chris Lum and Vincent Kwok, and releases on Miguel Mig’s Salted label and upcoming jams on Naked, and JayJ’s Shifted. Rarely does a DJ cross our path that brings the full package with such fervour. Production, engineering, vocals, keys, and sweet, sweet tune selection is par for the course from our fine selector for this evening, Yogi, and we find ourselves on the receiving end of a supreme cut lunch from one of the country’s finest picnic baskets.
